You can't trust politicians!

Can anyone tell me how politicians and political candidates try to lump Social Security benefits - a system that I paid my money into for FIFTY YEARS - in with welfare, food stamps and other government programs??? They package these all with a catchy little title "ENTITLEMENTS" and talk about it like its some government handout!!!!  I paid into this program for fifty years and politicians robbed the money out of it and used it for anything else they wanted and NOW have the gall to try and tell us that the fund is going broke!!!   What a line of BS!!!  The first time I hear ANY political candidate, incumbent or not, refer to my social security benefits as some handout or try to mess with it, they have lost my vote - I don't care what else they stand for or against!!! They lack common sense and basic understanding as far as I'm concerned!
